Whistleblowing

On January 1, 2015, the Act No. 307/2014 Coll. on certain measures related to the reporting of anti-social activities and on amendment and supplements to certain acts, shall become effective which stipulates conditions of provision of protection to persons against victimization in employment relationship in connection with reporting of crime or other antisocial activities. The act stipulates special obligations for companies employing at least 50 employees. Such companies are obliged to implement, within July 1, 2015, a system for receiving, investigating and resolving notices of employees in connection with alleged corruption or other infringing activity about which they have learned in the employment relationship. Moreover, these companies have to adopt an internal regulation containing information on corporate anti-corruption system defined by the act (details on filing notices by employees, on their verification and solving as well as on the registration of notices).
